I entered in a halloween makeup look competition. I got my inspiration from katy perrys e.t. music video.

The winner isnt chosen til the end of october but im sure their will be a lot of good looks but..hey atleast i tried lol...ill keep it posted on here what happens.

Besides the competition i would definitely do this for halloween...if there is a halloween party or something going on..id do this. Of course after looking at it for a couple days there are some things id add but...whatev!! lol.

Very pretty colors...
It was only $3.99 at Target. I hadn't shopped in awhile for makeup so I decided to check out the makeup section in Target.

RIMMEL LONDON is always a brand that I've liked. Its less expensive then say...Maybelline or Covergirl. But just as good..to me! The quad has 4 colors as shown above. They have a shimmer to them but not overwhelming...just pretty. I decided to focus more on the green and yellow colors but did use all of them. I love how it turned out...cant wait to try the other one I got!! Ill be posting about that one also.

I am an AVON rep! If you already sell Avon you know how great of an opportunity this is!!! NO LIE. Becoming an Avon Independent Sales Representative was one of the best decisions. WHY? Because it is just the thing I was looking for. It is a home based business. I do work full time but Im trying very hard to make something out of this. I needed extra cash and so I just finally decided to do it.

Basically....with avon..you are a sales rep. You buy brochures..samples...demos..etc to basically run your business. The brochures are your shop. With avon it really sells itself because its been around forever! And women just love it. So if you are thinking about doing it...dont let the "sales" part scare you. Their are many different ways to get your brochures out there and in the hands or doorsteps of customers. I found a website ( www.beautywagon.com ) and she has selling tips and templates on there that really helped me so just go there to really understand more. Thats what helped me!

To RUN your business.. you have a log in on youravon.com. This is where you order for you customers, order samples etc, connect with your district(other avon reps), and more. Its so easy and very neat if I do say so. Their is also another more modern way to run your business..become an eREP. You can your very own web address where your customers can go and order online and you get a profit... yeah..pretty cool. Like for example..my aunt ordered that way because she lives in Florida and I live in Maryland. If someone lives near you and just likes that way best they can choose for you to deliver their stuff instead of direct delivery..so its still personal and your still doing your part. Plus direct delivery is a fee. You have an order book with a layout thats very easy to add up your total and give the receipt to the customer. I mean they are just giving you everything you need to be successful and all you need to do is.. DO IT lol.

So thats just a little bit about it...they also have sales meetings for your area..I havent went to any because of my schedule but im sure they do help plus you can get some ideas from other reps or maybe make some friends i guess.

Anyway, Im really glad I did this..not just for extra money reasons but its nice to have like your own thing...its MY business and Im taking it to the top! Good luck if you are taking this opportunity as well.

Handmade Jewelry!

About a year ago I really decided to start making jewelry. I had no talent..no hobbies...etc. But now..I DO. Making jewelry is a great way to express yourself and make unique pieces that no one else has! Their are endless possibilities with making jewelry. You can have your own cute original stuff to wear, give as gifts, or even sell. Sell? yeah!

I have my own shop on etsy and even made business cards. I havent really advertised it because I still need to build my collections so that I have things to put up on my shop. If you dont know what etsy is..its a website where you can buy or shop. They have more then jewelry but you get the idea. Im sure there are more websites also. With the internet..its endless opportunity. You can sell at flea markets and even have your own garage/yard sale to get your stuff out there. I plan on doing all this very soon so I will let you know my progress.

But besides the possibility of making money off of it...its a great hobby to have as well. Its kind of like creating art but in a different way... a way you can wear!! Ill post some pics of some jewelry Ive made. Ive given a lot away to my cousins as gifts so I dont have them but I did take pictures every time I created something.

I also plan on getting more advanced and doing more. Its fairly easy thing to do..just watch some videos or posts on how to's and you'll get it! Thats what I did.

OH and as you can see from my other post Im loving feather earrings..and I cant wait to make my OWN. You should too..let me know how it goes.

One more thing, you can go as far as you want with this. Like I said earlier, Ive already made a shop on Etsy and made business cards. Its true what they say, "what you put in is what you will get back" SO if this is something you want to do ..truly. YOU CAN.

Feather Earrings!!!

Right now I am loving feather earrings. I used to have a pair in high school and I felt like no one else wore them back then. Now.....they are everywhere. Oh how i miss them( I think they broke or something).

Currently I have 3 pair of feather earrings. One was a gift from a fab lady at work and I got the other 2 from a store called rainbow. They are brown and the 2 I got are gold medal looking with white feathers.(pics below) I love them! OH and not to mention the feather extensions too! I dont think Ill be doing that anytime soon but I do love them.

They remind of the "hippie days". How can you not love that era?! So much peace and happiness and.... STYLE. That influences still to this day. I cant tell you how many times Ive worn something or saw something and my mom said...oh i remember when that was popular in my day. LOL. Meaning the 70's.

So...I cannot wait to start adding to my feather earring collection! Can you!?
